This course will help students have a clear understanding of their role as a Caregiver in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly. Students will understand California Confidentiality Laws, Clients’ Personal Rights, Dependent Adult/Elder Abuse Reporting, Conservatorship, Involuntary Psychiatric Admissions (Welfare and Institutions Code 5150, 5250, etc.) and other updates from California Health & Safety Codes, Welfare & Institutions Codes and Title 17 and 22 of the California Laws and Regulations.
